This time, I will introduce the really common and folksy Korean noodle to you.
What is 칼국수[Kal Gook Soo]?
It is called 칼국수[Kal Gook Soo], 칼[Kal] means a knife and 국수[Gook Soo] means noodle.
Then 칼국수 is noodle using by knife.
It is made from mixing the flower and water to make dough, and roll the dough thin.
And this is important moment. cutting the dough with 칼. Haha. The way using knife will make the noodle's thickness. Then put the noodles to the boiled water with clams. The soup is very deep, as you can see it in the photo below.
It is sooo huge bowl. Really big. I didn't measure the length, maybe about longer than 12inch(about 30cm). This is for 2 persons. Next visit, I want to measure how huge it is.

You can enjoy 칼국수 with 김치[Kimchi]. It's the only default side dish for this restaurant. 김치 is contained by the little 항아리[Hang A Ri: Little pot]. You can take some 김치 on vacant plate. And also take 칼국수 to one's own dish.
The noodle here is thicker than others, looks like 우동[UDon]. It seems to be rolled and cut by hand. So you can taste chewy noodle with clam soup. Common 칼국수 noodle for other restaurant can be thinner than it.

When going into here, waitress will ask to you.
How many people? 2? Then two 칼국수? (oh, in Korean)
You just say two(any number) Kal gook Soo! So easy.
Because it is nearly decided what you can eat as main dish. 칼국수 is the only main dish and you can also have 만두[Man doo: dumpling]. Two kinds of 만두 here. Big size 만두 and little size 만두. Unfortunately, I don't have photo for them.

No chair for table
There are no chars for table, you can just sit on the ground. It is one of traditional Korean culture. It can be a little uncomfortable to you, if you are not familiar to it.
